CHOOSE YOUR ROCKER SHAPE
Start With the Rocker Style That Fits Your Colors
The right rocker shape depends on your wording, center emblem, vest proportions and the overall look your club wants to maintain.
Choose one of these starting styles. Every curve can be adjusted before production.
Not sure which style to choose?
Send us your wording and a photo of the center patch. Our designers will recommend the rocker shape that best fits the complete back layout.
Classic Club Arc
A traditional balanced curve designed to work naturally above or below most center back patches.
Best For: Traditional back-patch layouts · Medium-length club names · Balanced top and bottom sets
Deep Curve
A stronger arch that visually wraps around taller, round or shield-shaped center emblems.
Best For: Large center patches · Short to medium wording · Strong traditional layouts
Wide Shallow Curve
A broader rocker with less arc, creating additional horizontal space for longer wording.
Best For: Long club names · Chapter names · City, state or country wording
Compact Rocker
A shorter, tighter layout for smaller patches or limited vest-back space.
Best For: Short chapter names · Compact vest layouts · Secondary club wording
Heritage Banner Rocker
A more distinctive banner-inspired silhouette for clubs that want additional character around their lettering.
Best For: Heritage-inspired artwork · Bold lettering · Custom club identities
Custom Contour Rocker
A completely custom curve designed around your existing center patch or approved club artwork.
Best For: Existing club colors · Replacement rockers · Unusual center-patch shapes · Custom back-patch systems
Get the Width, Curve and Spacing Right
A rocker should be designed around the vest — not simply enlarged until the wording fits.
We consider the usable back-panel space, center-patch width, rocker curve and lettering length before establishing the final dimensions.
Measure the Vest Back
Measure the usable width across the back panel where the rocker will be installed.
Keep the rocker clear of heavy seams, folds and panel edges.
Match the Center Patch
The top and bottom rockers should feel visually connected to the center emblem rather than appearing oversized or undersized.
Consider the Wording
Long club or chapter names usually need a wider or shallower rocker.
Reducing the lettering too far can weaken visibility and embroidery definition.
Balance the Three Pieces
When designing a complete back set, we plan the relationship between:
Top Rocker
Center Patch
Bottom Rocker
so the entire layout reads as one intentional system.

For clubs ordering multiple patch types together, we can keep lettering, thread colors and border construction consistent across the complete set.
Lettering Style
Use your existing club typography or choose a bold, condensed or heritage-inspired embroidered lettering style.
Background Color
Choose a background that works with your vest and existing patch system.
Thread Colors
Coordinate lettering, outlines and details with your approved club colors.
Border Color & Style
Match the outer border to the center patch or use a contrasting edge for stronger separation.
Embroidery Coverage
Choose a traditional twill-based construction or fuller embroidery depending on the desired texture and visual weight.
Existing Patch Matching
Send us clear photos or existing color references so new rockers can be designed to coordinate with your current patches.

Questions About Custom Top & Bottom Rockers
What is a top rocker patch?
A top rocker is a curved embroidered patch positioned above the center back patch. Depending on the organization’s approved patch structure, it may carry the club, chapter, riding group or other primary wording.
What is a bottom rocker patch?
A bottom rocker is positioned below the center patch and may carry approved chapter, location, regional or other organizational wording.
The wording and use of all club colors should follow the rules of the organization ordering them.
How do I know what size rocker I need?
Start by measuring the usable back-panel width of the vest and the width of the center patch.
The final rocker size also depends on the length of the wording, curve depth and desired lettering height.
Can you match an existing center back patch?
Yes.
Send us a clear front-facing photograph, approximate dimensions and any available color references. We can develop new rockers to coordinate with the existing patch layout.
What if our club name is very long?
Long wording does not always mean smaller lettering.
We can adjust the rocker width, curve, letter spacing or lettering style to maintain better readability and balance.
Can I order only the top or only the bottom rocker?
Yes.
You can order a top rocker, bottom rocker, matching pair or complete back-patch set.
Can we order different bottom rockers for different chapters?
Yes.
A consistent top rocker and center emblem can be paired with different approved chapter or location variations.
What backing is best for a leather motorcycle vest?
Sew-on construction is generally the preferred option for permanent installation on leather and denim riding vests.
Can you match our existing club lettering?
Yes.
Send us the existing artwork, vector file or clear photograph. If the original lettering file is unavailable, our designers can help recreate or closely coordinate the visual style.
Can we approve the design before production?
Yes.
You receive a design proof for review before production begins.
Can we order samples first?
Sample support is available for clubs that need physical confirmation before a larger production order.
Do you support bulk club orders?
Yes.
We support member orders, chapter orders, replacement runs and larger club merchandise requirements.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes.
We work with clubs and riding organizations internationally and provide worldwide shipping.
Can you copy another motorcycle club’s colors?
We only produce logos, names, colors and designs that the customer confirms they are authorized to use.
